THE FOOL

The Fool is the main character of the Major Arcana. He sets out to learn and grow through these cards aimlessly and in deep in his thoughts. This card brings new adventures and possibilities.

UPRIGHT- When the Fool appears upright during a reading it most likely means change or something new is coming, and to be optimistic and welcoming to the change because it is happening with or without you. It is generally a positive card but always look before you leap!

-Innocence, Freedom, New Beginnings, Inevitable Change, Adventure, Travel, Idealism, Optimism, New Paths

REVERSED- When the Fool appears reversed it is similar to the upright meaning with a little emphasis on the "look before you leap" and can be signs this new adventure you may be reluctant to jump into.

-Recklessness, Distraction, Stupidity, Apathy, Irrational, Negligence, Carelessness, and Lack of Fun

LOVE AND RELATIONSHIPS

When it comes to love and relationships the Fool can be a bit tricky. Regardless of position of card it can mean a new carefree romance may be in your future. Upright it usually means exciting and spontaneous while reversed it may mean the relationship will be a whirlwind of emotions including feelings of insecurity and reckless behavior. Either position also means a lack of commitment of the person in question.

MONEY AND CAREER

When the Fool appears upright and the reading is dealing with finances or career plans answer the door, opportunity is knocking! Other people are going to try and knock you down but be patient and don't let them deter you because you are on the right track. If you are happy where you are but have been feeling unheard speak up, now is your opportunity as well.

Reversed is similar but make sure you do your research and make sure this opportunity has a plan that can be successful for yourself.

HEALTH

For health matters the Fool has a few meanings, one being pregnancy since the card symbolizes new beginnings. Another is being accident prone, especially when reversed. And two possibilities for when someone is sick: the card indicates vitality and energy, so it bodes good physical well-being or to try alternative treatments to the problem.

SPIRITUALITY

The Fool is already a highly spiritual card, but this card usually means you are on the journey to a new spiritual awakening. People may not understand your choices or ideas similar to its career meaning but be patient with them and you can always explain why.

When reversed, slow down and make sure the new path is the right one and not compromising your beliefs.

All in all, the first card of the deck and major arcana, brings new opportunities and it's up to you to make sure what is the right one for you!
