Care Instructions
Angelica prefers rich, moist, and slightly alkaline soil, though it will tolerate almost any type of soil. The important part is to make sure the soil is well watered. The herb enjoys full to partial shade, and since it is native to cooler temperatures it may be better to protect it from the full sun when in warmer climates. Once the plant is established, maintenance is pretty simple, just keep weed free and soil moist.
Start plants in a pot to easily transfer them to, prior to about 3 inches tall.
Cut stalks at the end of the first year to encourage flowering in the second year.
